Google Maps for iOS Lets You Add Pit Stops
Feb 29, 2016, 9:47 AM by Eric M. Zeman

An update to Google Maps for iOS adds useful details about what's located along any given route. Using the refreshed Google Maps, travelers can easily find rest stops, restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations — including gas prices — during their journey. The feature is accessible when in navigation mode by pressing the search button. Google will then show what's available within reasonable distances of the planned trip. Google added this feature to Maps for Android in October, so today's update for iOS puts the two versions of the app in parity. Google Maps for iOS is free to download from the iTunes App Store.
