May 31, 2006, 12:15 PM by (staff)
Sprint today launched the RIM 7130e, the phone-like Blackberry with EV-DO high speed data and the hybrid SureType keyboard. The 7130e is available for $200 after rebates and contracts. Sprint also announced that all RIM 7250 sold after today will also be EV-DO enabled. The 7250 is a full-size Blackberry Sprint has sold since last year. It was known to be EV-DO capable, but the high speed was not enabled on the model when it launched. Users who have already purchased the 7250 will be able to download a software update to upgrade their devices to EV-DO later this year.
