Research In Motion (RIM) today announced the GSM+EDGE version of its BlackBerry 7130 series. The BlackBerry 7130g, 7130v, and 7130c are similar to the existing 7100 series, but upgrade to RIM's new hardware platform with EDGE high-speed data, an Intel XScale processor, Bluetooth 2.0, and double the memory. The devices are otherwise similar to the rest of the 7100 and 7130 series, including a small form factor and SureType hybrid keypad. Both the 7130g and 7130v are now listed on RIM's web site, and a similar 7130c was revealed on the FCC web site a month ago. As with past BlackBerrys, the different model variants have slightly different styling and will be exclusive to different carriers within each region.
