Periscope Adds Search and Saving Tools
May 9, 2016, 11:42 AM by Eric M. Zeman

Periscope today detailed forthcoming changes that will make it easier to find and save video broadcasts. First, Periscope will improve search by making it possible to browse live broadcasts via categories as well as via keywords. Second, Periscope will begin to save all broadcasts permanently by default (previously, videos were saved only for 24 hours). Users will be able to delete saved videos at any time, or set them to expire after 24 hours. Last, Periscope plans to add support for drones, allowing people to broadcast live from drones. Periscope said these changes will reach into mobile apps in the weeks ahead. Periscope is owned by Twitter.
