Instagram Redesigns Mobile Apps
May 11, 2016, 9:16 AM by Eric M. Zeman

Instagram today revealed a new look for its Android and iOS mobile apps. The updated appearance includes new app icons for the main Instagram app, as well as Instagram's ancillary apps, Layout, Boomerang, and Hyperlapse. Inside the app, Instagram toned down the chrome and adopted a black and white design. Instagram has been testing the new design for several weeks. "The simpler design puts more focus on your photos and videos without changing how you navigate the app," explained Instagram in a blog post. The updated series of apps are free to download from the Google Play Store and iTunes App Store.
