Google Debuts 'Spaces' App for Group Conversations
May 16, 2016, 10:02 AM by Eric M. Zeman

Google today introduced a new app called Spaces, which is meant to facilitate group conversations around specific subjects. Google imagines the app could be helpful to book clubs, or to people planning trips, and so on. Chrome, YouTube, and Search are built into Spaces, so finding and adding content to conversation threads is a cinch. Google says threads are easy to follow, and because they are searchable it is easy to go back and find previous discussions, comments, or content. Spaces can be created with a single tap, and invitations can be sent via email, social network, or messaging. Google Spaces is available to all Gmail accounts today online, and for Android and iOS devices. The service is free to use.
