Oppo today said it has agreed to license a number of Qualcomm patents pertaining to 3G and 4G technologies. Qualcomm says Oppo may now "develop, manufacture, and sell" 3G and 4G devices in China that use its WCDMA, CDMA2000, LTE-TDD, TD-SCDMA, and GSM technologies. Qualcomm has been reworking many of its patent agreements in China this year following a settlement with the Chinese government over its technology licensing practices.
