Google Speeds Up Video In Chrome for Android
Aug 2, 2016, 12:26 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Google today said Chrome 52 for Android devices should display video quicker and smoother. The refreshed browser is also less power hungry, so it shouldn't dent battery life as much. Moreover, video can be used in data saver mode, which compresses video so it consumes less data over cellular connections. The browser makes full use of HTML5. Google says as more web publishers switch their video content to HTML5, video performance should only get better. Chrome is free to download from the Google Play Store.
