Gmail to Optimize Emails for Viewing On Mobile Devices
Sep 14, 2016, 2:40 PM by Eric M. Zeman

Google today said it plans to support emails made with responsive design so they are easier to view and interact with on mobile devices. Responsive design allows emails to reformat themselves based on the screen size and shape, making text, links, and buttons bigger. This in turn makes it easier to tap or select items within emails. At the same time, Gmail on the desktop will better render emails formatted specifically for mobile. Google says it is rolling out support for responsive design to all versions of Gmail over the coming weeks.
