Nokia today announced two new music-oriented GSM slider phones, and one model refresh:
- 5300 XpressMusic: Features a microSD memory card slot (supports up to 2 GB), Bluetooth, QVGA display, megapixel camera, and class 10 EDGE data. Music features include external controls and support for nearly all major music file formats. Available in two tri-band GSM versions. 900/1800/1900 version shipping in Europe in Q4. 850/1800/1900 version will ship in U.S. in Q1 2007.
- 5200: A more affordable phone based on the same design as the 5300. Downgrades include a lower-resolution display and camera, and fewer external music controls. Does feature Bluetooth and EDGE data. Available only in tri-band GSM for Europe and Asia.
- 3250 XpressMusic: An updated 3250 with new styling and support for 2 GB microSD memory cards.
