Google Home Lets People Access and Play Uploaded Tunes

Google has updated its Google Home product and given people greater flexibility to access their own music. Owners of Google Home who have uploaded songs to Google Play Music can now access and play those songs. Google allows people to store up to 100,000 tracks online. Previously, Google Home would only stream music from the Google Play Store or other streaming service. This means people who don't subscribe to Play Music can at least listen to the tracks they've stored in the cloud. Radio stations and playlists from Google Play Music are still available. According to Google, those who don't use Google Play Music as their default player will need to say "OK Google, play on Google Play Music" to hear their own songs. The feature is rolling out to all areas where Google Home is supported.
