Two Of Sprint's Cable Partners Ready To Launch Cell Service

Comcast and Time Warner Cable will begin to offer cellular service through Sprint later this month. Initially each cable operator will offer bundles that include wireless service in two test markets - Comcast in Boston and Portland, OR and Time Warner in Austin and Raleigh, NC. The cable companies will offer Sprint service on Sprint phones, but will offer additional features such as integration with home email or voicemail provided the subscriber gets internet or phone service through the cable company. Cable subscribers can sign up for cellular service through their cable company as long as they receive at least one other service other than cable TV through their cable. Cox and Advance/Newhouse, Sprints other two cable partners, have yet to announce any plans to roll out wireless service.

Great for Sprint

They are leading the industry with data speeds and unique services, and verizon continues offer vcast for 15 bucks with no content 🙄

Very true. Now if only Sprint can get those 3+million gross ads to actually sign up. Perhaps this and the dual mode devices are going to help do that.

They certainly dont offer anything else unique.
