Apple today updated its GarageBand music-creation tool for iPhones and iPads. To start, Apple says the revised app will be compatible with the display of the new iPhone X, which goes on sale Nov. 3. GarageBand now includes an expanded library of instruments, called the Sound Library, most of which are available as Group or pack downloads. According to Apple, all instruments in the Sound Library are free. The app adds several new drum styles that can be activated via the drum machine tool. Other additions include support for new languages, new sharing/file options, recording in 24-bit sound, iMessasge stickers, and of course bug fixes and performance improvements. GarageBand is free to download from the iTunes App Store.
