Apple Design Guru Jony Ive Returns to Hardware
Dec 8, 2017, 5:58 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Jony Ive, Apple's chief designer, will once again have direct oversight of the company's hardware and software design. Ive handed those responsibilities off to other managers in 2015 in order to concentrate on larger projects, such as Apple's new headquarters building and retail stores. With those projects complete or well under way, Ive will tackle Apple's consumer products once more. "Apple's design leaders and teams are again reporting directly to Jony Ive, who remains focused purely on design," Apple spokeswoman Amy Bessette told Reuters.
