Google Maps Will Now Tell You When to Get Off Your Bus or Train

Google has updated Maps for Android with a new feature meant to ensure people don't miss their stop when using public transportation, such as buses or trains. Google says the new tool supplies not only departure times and ETAs, but it can also alert people when it is time to get off a bus or train in order to make a transfer or arrive at their destination. The new transit functionality lets people track their progress in real time, just as when driving or walking. Google says in order to use the feature people will need to set destinations and navigate via the public transportation tab in Maps. Google Maps is free to download from the Google Play Store.
