Review: Coolpad Revvl Plus for T-Mobile
Coolpad and T-Mobile did a commendable job with this handset. The Revvl Plus is an affordable device that offers balanced performance across the board.
Though plastic, the hardware is well designed and well made. I like the patterned rear cover and the pink accents provide more than a small dose of flair. The Revvl Plus is a HUGE handset and you need to be fine with that going in.
Core functions, such as the screen, battery, signal, and voice, did their jobs ably.
The pure Android experience may come across as plain to some, but the phone runs really smoothly and never felt bogged down or out of breath.
The camera app was easy to make sense of and the Revvl Plus snagged fine photos. I don't think the portrait mode is going to blow anyone away, but it and the other alternate shooting modes are fun to mess with.
T-Mobile is charging $199 for the Coolpad Revvl Plus. It's a fair price for this handset. If big screens are your thing, the Revvl Plus might be your new best friend.
