Sprint today announced that it would begin supporting Mac access to its EV-DO network beginning with the Sierra Aircard 595. Sierra Wireless is offering Mac users Watcher Lite, an application that will allow the Mac to use the Aircard 595 on all Sprint's data networks, including Revision A networks that are available in 21 cities. The Aircard 595 is a PC card, so this development will only help Powerbook users. Sprint does not offer any EV-DO Express Cards, but they do offer a Novatel U720 USB EV-DO Rev. A modem, however no Mac software is available for this yet.
