Verizon Launches Revision A

Verizon announced that many areas throughout the country have been upgraded to EV-DO Revision A and that the network has gone live. Subscribers in much of Florida and Massachusetts, as well as in the Richmond, Chicago, Salt Lake City and Gary, IN areas can now take advantage of increased upload and download speeds with a Revision A capable data card. Verizon is initially predicting uploads of 300-400 kbps and downloads of 450-800 kbps. The carrier today also launched the USB720 USB modem to join the Aircard 595 PC Card in its Rev. A lineup.

That headline a tad further down where it says something about average speeds of 600-kbps to 1.4mbps, that's kinda interesting, slightly above a megabit!!!
