Samsung today announced the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J3, simple phones that offer basic functionality at affordable price points. Shared features include Android 8 Oreo, 2 GB of memory, 16 GB of storage, Bluetooth 4.2, and WiFi. The international configuration of these phones ship with Samsung Exynos processors on board, but U.S. versions will likely swap for Qualcomm processors.
- Galaxy J7: The larger of the two phones (top) features a 5.5-inch HD screen, 13-megapixel main camera at f/1.7 for better low-light photography, and a 13-megapixel front camera at f/1.9. Samsung says the phone has a large 3,300mAh battery for all-day use.
- Galaxy J3: The smaller of the two phones (bottom) has a 5-inch HD display, 8-megapixel main camera at f/1.9, and a 5-megapixel selfie cam at f/2.2. This phone also includes Samsung's Easy Mode UI skin for bigger fonts and icons. The J7 has a 2,600mAh battery.
