i would have liked to see clips of the phone playing video

i know that they added video to that sidekick, so i also liked to have seen a video clip play. i hope sharp upgraded the processor so it can run video smoothly.
this Sidekick is just like every other one since the 3. Disapointing. Internet is always slow and drops data and the video playback is choppy and its in the lowest form of resloution possible. Just another attempt from SHarp to tell more sidekicks....

SideKick LX just got SOFTWARE UPDATE!!!!!!

SideKick LX just got SOFTWARE UPDATE!!!!!!

After almost 2 weeks since the Sidekick 2008 is released the LX finally gets the same Software upgrade. You get a few facial enhancements in terms of the images for the icons on the menu screen.

Here are the major enhancements:
You can now enter a chat room on AOL (AIM) instant messenger.

Camera can now record video clips. Even with a memory card it only records 20 second clips. Unlike other cell phones that can record forever depending on how big the size of the Micro SD card is.

You can now send the video clips as well. You can also add video clips to your memory card & watch them. So if you have a TV show or movie saved to your PC you can now copy, paste, save on SD card, and watch ...

Side Kick

Garbage is: πŸ™„ The QWERTY keyboard is a disappointment. The keys are small (even for a smartphone), slippery, and hard to press.

Dialing a phone number is garbage. You have to slide the screen open and enter the number using the keyboard. (If you've already entered a contact into your address book, you can initiate a call with the phone closed.) Once the call is connected, you can close the phone--and to talk, you'll have to. This additional step isn't a deal-breaker, but itΓƒΒ’Γ’β€šΒ¬β„’s a pain. The sidekick is also bulky and heavy when on a call.

The Slide, supports the EDGE data network. This is not a true high-speed, 3G data network, and it shows: Pages and images can be slow to load.

Software is a true weakness for all Sidekick p...

Perfect summary of the Sidekick Slide. The phone being reviewed, though, is not the Slide. πŸ˜‰

The sidekick isnt a smart phone. I'm not going to bother reading the rest.

All the new sidekicks(except for the slide) use rubber keys. And I...

Side kick

I am amazed that T mobile still messes with this garbage. I guess people must still buy this but the question is why?

I never see anyone use one anymore and I travel more than I like, my 12 year old daughter told me no one in school uses it so who buys it?

Yet, T mobile has a whole row in their inventory???

Maybe there is a big demand for it in "Rooster Poop Ark".
I work at a kiosk. Lots of people that walk by use some version of the sidekick. LOTS. Your claim about what your daughter observed isnt reconciled with reality. Kids tend to flip out over the sidekick daily so I'm not going to take your claim about y...

I am not going to stake any claim to what your daughter states either, maybe not in "snozberry, ny" where everyone and their dog uses an iphone, but everywhere else I have been and seen people use them all the time. They are fantastic device for hear...
