Non-Premium YouTube Users Gain Picture-in-Picture
Jun 28, 2018, 7:04 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Google has made YouTube's picture-in-picture feature, previously reserved for YouTube Premium accounts, more widely available. Android users in the U.S. now have free access to picture-in-picture when using YouTube. People can exit YouTube when watching a video and the video will appear in a separate window while the user completes other tasks. Picture-in-picture requires Android 8 Oreo and the feature doesn't extend to music videos.
