AT&T Opens First Megastore
Mar 12, 2007, 1:39 PM by (staff)
AT&T has replaced a 2000 square foot Cingular store in Houston with a new "Experience Store" more than twice its size. The new 5000 square foot space is the first of 11 new stores that will bring together all of AT&T's services, both wireless and wireline. Instead of dividing the store up by service or by handset cost as most carriers do, the store will be divided by function - video, gaming, music, messaging and other uses will each have their own separate area. In addition the store will have a customization center to add ringtones and screens to phones as well as decorate them with stickers and crystals. AT&T will open up Experience stores in San Antonio and Atlanta before expanding to other regions.

Simpsons did it!
Also most stores have a touch screen interactive center that allows customers to preview and purchase ringers, screen savers, games, etc.
I've used both formats, and function works better than price.
Anyone who gets the reference to "simpsons did it!" gets a gold star.
