MobiTV To Expand Lineup, Add On-Demand Episodes

MobiTV has partnered with NBC Universal to add new content and services to its streaming TV offering. Any user will have access to five new ad-supported channels featuring clips from SciFi, Bravo, USA Network, Telemundo, and mun2 (mundos). Basic level MobiTV subscribers will be able to watch a live stream of CNBC. And subscribers will also be able to download a number of English as well as Spanish TV shows on demand, including Battlestar Galactica, Monk, and a number of Telenovelas. Prices will start at $2 for a 24 hour viewing period, but may be set individually by show or carrier. MobiTV will also offer some free, ad-supported shows such as Friday Night Lights and Work Out.
