YouTube Drops Music and Video Streaming Costs for Students

YouTube today announced new, lower pricing tiers for full-time college students. The price drop applies to YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium, which carry monthly subscription costs of $10 and $12, respectively. The new cost to eligible students will be $5 per month for YouTube Music Premium and $7 per month for YouTube Premium. Students who sign up by Jan. 31, 2019, can lock in YouTube Premium at a special rate of just $6 per month. A subscription to YouTube Premium includes a subscription to YouTube Music Premium. YouTube Premium offers ad-free viewing, background play, downloads for offline viewing, and access to all YouTube Originals
