Facebook Messenger Adopts Portrait, Boomerang Modes
Dec 17, 2018, 9:15 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Facebook today pushed out an update to Facebook Messenger and added a handful of new functions. First, Messenger gains a portrait mode when taking selfies. This feature uses the user-facing camera and software to create a blurred background, giving selfies a bit more pop. Second, Messenger now allows people to capture Boomerang videos. Boomerangs are short, looping GIFs that highlight movement. Facebook Messenger is available from the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store.
