Ask Rolls Out Multi-Function GPS App for Sprint
May 14, 2007, 12:52 PM by (staff)
Ask today announced a mobile application that bundles Citysearch local search, GPS-enabled turn by turn directions, location sharing and Evite invitations. The different functions are tied together so that users can get turn by turn directions to a local search result, a friend's location that he has sent to you, or an address in an Evite. The service is only available on Sprint and requires an LBS-enabled phone. It will cost $10 per month. Many of these features are similar to functionality included in Helio phones at no additional cost. Google recently announced a version of Google Maps for Mobile that integrates GPS functionality into additional phones besides the Helios it originally launched on.
