Beeper Mini Brings iMessage to Android
Dec 5, 2023, 11:59 AM by Rich Brome @rbrome.bsky.social

Universal messaging app company Beeper has a new app — Beeper Mini — that brings iMessage and "blue bubbles" to Android phones. Crucially — and unlike competing attempts to provide such functionality — the app communicates directly with Apple servers (instead of relying on relay servers or another device) and provides "full" end-to-end encryption. The app supports most iMessage features, including typing status, read receipts, full resolution images/video, emoji reactions, voice messages, editing, and un-sending. The app links to your phone number and does not require an Apple ID account. Beeper Mini is available now from the Google Play store with no waitlist. There is a seven-day free trial, after which the app costs $2/month.
