Review: Motorola ZINE ZN5
The ZN5 uses Motorola's MOTOMAGX Linux-Java platform. The basic menu structure is very similar to that of the Moto E8. On the home screen, the D-pad cycles through the MyFaves icons if pressed left or right, and can be set to access different applications if pressed up or down. The left soft key is for shortcuts, which are quick access to Bluetooth, the alarm, the browse and text messages.
The default view of the main menu is a grid, but that can be changed to list form or spinner form (as on the E8). The grid mode is perhaps the most useful in terms of making selections quickly.
Diving into any of the menu items opens a simple list, with the left soft key allowing you to open options and the right soft key doubling as a back button.
