AT&T Launches BlackBerry With Wi-Fi

AT&T will begin selling the BlackBerry 8820 tomorrow. Bearing the same basic design as other 8800 series Blackberries, it has a quad-band GSM/EDGE radio and will offer 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi with enterprise security features. Users will be able to check email and use the internet from their corporate or home hotspots for free as well as use AT&T's national Wi-Fi network for a fee, which includes some 10,000 hotspots. The 8820 also includes built-in GPS and navigation applications. It has Bluetooth 2.0 and offers a media player, microSD slot for expanded storage. It will cost $299 with a two-year contract.
