The FCC has approved a new CDMA Windows Mobile Smartphone from HTC. The Iris is a compact Windows Mobile 6 Standard (smartphone) device similar in design to the Palm Treo 500v or Android prototype. It features a landscape QVGA display and QWERTY keyboard and packs EV-DO, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth into the thin, rounded body. Also includes 2 Megapixel camera and microSD slot as well as a very large battery. The Iris has not been announced yet, however FCC documents mention Verizon, making the carrier a likely launch partner for the handset.
verizon!!!haha
yeah it will be out 2015 🤣 🤣
no, it will be out in 2008, but it will be so locked up it will be crippled. You said it, verizon, hahahaha
TELUS In Canada has had this for over a month.
This thing kicks the Q9m/Q9c's ass, and it's CDMA. Why can't this be coming to Sprint. 😢
Sounds good to me....
... but will it be better than the 700wx?
Seems a good phone. The user's manual on the FCC website shows how to use Verizon VZ Access etc so we know for sure its destined for VZW. But its not for me....I need a WM Pro phone. Too bad. Seems like a great phone otherwise.
Roger
or the existing MotoQ9h with 3G?
Look at it closely. HTC has made the treo for Palm since its inception. HTC makes superior smartphones that are reliable with excellent sound quality. It looks like the treo. 😁
It will blow the 700wx out of the water!!
i've held one of these
so i had a guy from Canada and he had this phone from telus...i really liked the keyboard and navigation pad. it was very responsive and i can't wait till its released here 🙂
