Nokia Plans 6-12 New Phones for U.S. in 2008
Jan 10, 2008, 4:27 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Nokia said that it is planning to launch between six and twelve new operator-specific handsets for the North American market this year. Nokia's president of North America, Mark Louison, said that the company is working directly with U.S. network operators, including AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless, to offer phones catered to each provider. Several of the phones will be available in the first half of the year, with the bulk of them to follow during the second half of 2008. Louison said Nokia hopes to pick up momentum heading into 2009 and regain lost market share. It currently holds only 11% of the U.S. market and ranks fourth behind Motorola, Samsung, and LG.

My N82 does just fine without it. Could have bought the N95 with 3G as well. The point is this is a non event for those who already know how to find and buy the best Nokia's available.
The handsets that Nokia offer with Wifi and GPS are N Series handsets, like the N95.
N Series handsets are the only phones that Nokia makes worth anything!!!
I called it earlier today
