Nokia, Qualcomm Consolidate Patent Battles
Feb 25, 2008, 3:44 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Nokia and Qualcomm have made some progress in their ongoing legal battles concerning patents and cell phone technology. While none of the litigation has been settled, both companies agreed to refrain from filing any new lawsuits, put some of the cases on hold, and combine several of the proceedings to speed up the process. The firms have sued one another over hundreds of millions of dollars worth of mobile technology patents. The new, consolidated case goes before the U.S. District Court in Delaware beginning July 21.
