Nokia Brings Silverlight to S60 and Series 40 Handsets
Mar 4, 2008, 8:11 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Today Nokia announced that it will make Microsoft's Silverlight runtime platform available to phones running both the S60 and Series 40 operating systems. Silverlight is a plug-in that works on different browsers and platforms and can be used to run different types of web-based media and applications. This means that developers can create applications that will work on multiple platforms and run the same way on each platform. Silverlight will be available to S60 developers later this year. No time frame has been decided upon for getting Silverlight to Series 40 and Nokia Internet Tablet developers.
