Yahoo Adds Advanced Voice Recognition to oneSearch
Apr 2, 2008, 12:54 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Today Yahoo announced that it has incorporated a new voice-command feature into its mobile oneSearch product. Yahoo voice search allows users to switch between typing and voice search at any time, and offers alternative suggestions for similar sounding words. Rather than search through structured categories, it will allow searches to parse the entire internet for more useful results. Yahoo has also added a text autocomplete function to the oneSearch product. Yahoo will make the new version of oneSearch available to BlackBerries beginning today. It will add 500 more devices by the end of the year.
