Customer Service Application Announced by Nuance
Jul 29, 2008, 12:43 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Nuance Communications unveiled a new piece of software for mobile phones that allows users to retrieve and display information regarding their account by calling a new customer care number. Rather than speak to a person or an automated attendant, the phone call brings up the application, where users will be able to view their bill, minutes used, as well as pay bills directly from their phone's screen. If the person wishes to speak with a customer service representative, the call can be transferred to the right department for further action. Nuance has signed with a U.S. network operator, but hasn't disclosed which one yet.
