AT&T Offering Free GoPhones for Hurricane Evacuees
Sep 2, 2008, 10:54 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Today AT&T announced that it is making 2,000 pre-paid GoPhone's available at AT&T retail stores in the San Antonio and Houston regions affected by Hurricane Gustav. The GoPhone's will be free and will come with 15 minutes of airtime. The phones will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and will only be given to those coming from government-mandated evacuation areas.

$15, not 15 min
$15 makes more sense, although the article doesn't say how much they charge per minute.
If its AT&T's standard rates, its either $.25/min (so 60 minutes), or the $1/day, 10cents plan...
Dear displaced and desperate citizens,
Thanks,
AT&T
Motorola c168's?
Good PR for at&t, not good for churn and commission chargebacks for reps and dealers.
