At the CTIA event in San Francisco this week, Velocity Mobile is previewing its next two Windows Mobile devices: the Velocity 83 and Velocity 301. Both are simple slab-style devices dominated by a large touchscreen, similar to their first model, the 103. The 83 will be thinner and cheaper than the 103 by sacrificing 3G, although it will add an accelerometer and dual microSDHC card slots. The 301 will be a higher-end device, building on the features of the 103 by stepping up to a 3.5" 800 x 480 pixel display, plus an accelerometer and electronic compass. The 83 is expected to be on sale in time for the holidays, while the 301 will go on sale in the first quarter of 2009.
