Skyfire Announces Open Beta, Updates for Windows Mobile Browser

Today Skyfire has opened up the beta version of its browser to anyone who is interested in testing it the mobile browse. Skyfire is also offering a new version of the browser with some new features. The new version — 0.8 — fixes bugs, but also supports Ajax, Flash, Quicktime, and Windows Media for a more PC-like experience. It also includes better video quality; the ability to make Skyfire the default browser; faster launch and auto-reconnect; improved zooming; and the ability to download content. Current beta testers of the 0.6 version can migrate to the 0.8 version beginning today. Skyfire will have a 0.8 beta available for Symbian in the near future.
