AT&T Enables iPhone Set Up from Home
Oct 9, 2008, 9:28 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Today AT&T announced that it will allow customers to set up an Apple account prior to heading to an AT&T or Apple store to buy an iPhone. By having accounts prepared ahead of time, AT&T hopes to cut down on the activation time during in-store visits. Both new and existing customers can perform credit checks, figure out how to port an existing number, and check eligibility to upgrade to an iPhone.
