LG, Microsoft Sign Mobile Pact
Nov 3, 2008, 8:46 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Microsoft and LG have initiated a new agreement between the two companies that is described as a "strategic collaboration in mobile technology." LG said that the partnership will focus on R&D, marketing, applications, and converged device services. To date, LG has concentrated on feature phones and shunned the higher-end business market. Neither firm expressly said that this new agreement means LG will soon be making phones running Microsoft's Windows Mobile platform, but that wouldn't be an unrealistic outcome of the new collaboration.
