HP Crafts Flexible, Plastic Display

HP announced new display technology today that uses plastics, less raw materials, and less energy than today's displays. The display resembles paper and uses a new technology called self-aligned imprint lithography, or SAIL. HP called the SAIL technology "a more sustainable, environmentally sensitive approach to producing electronic displays." HP did not say if or when the technology would be incorporated into products such as laptops or mobile phones.

A few years back my dad got a promotion into the R&D or whatever department for HP and although he wasn't high up he got a glimpse of project that they were starting back then. At least back then this technology was hopeful to create paper thin tv's that you could hang anywhere in your house and just roll it up when not in use.
