Open Handset Alliance Gains 14 New Members

Another 14 companies have joined the Google-led Open Handset Alliance. The new members are: Sony Ericsson, Huawei Technologies, AKM Semiconductor, ARM, ASUSTek, Atheros Communications, Borqs, Ericsson, Garmin International, Omron Software, Softbank Mobile, Teleca AB, Toshiba and Vodafone. The new members will either deploy Android devices, contribute code to the Android Open Source Project, or support Android through products and services that will bring Android-based devices to market faster.
