New Carrier, Smart PCS, Banks On ZTE

Smart PCS, a small, regional carrier that has service in portions of Georgia and Tennessee, has chosen ZTE USA to provide its CDMA networking equipment, as well as wireless data cards and cellular phones. Smart PCS has several markets already in operation and plans to launch in other markets in the future. The first ZTE handset it is offering is the C79. Smart PCS also offers handsets from vendors such as HTC, LG, Motorola, Nokia and Samsung. It offers pre-paid plans with no contract ranging from $25 to $55 per month.
