Opera has taken its Opera Mini 4.2 for the Android platform out of beta and is offering a final release. The final version offers a number of bug fixes and improvements. Users can now access to the SD card for uploading and downloading, as well as save Web pages on the memory card. It adds support for video playback and double tapping will zoom/unzoom the browser. Opera Mini 4.2 for Android permits use of inline URL entry instead of the native textbox, and also fixed password text entry to show hidden characters. Other improvements include a fix to the application when the back button was pressed and users should see improved trackball speeds. Opera Mini 4.2 for Android is a free download.
