Today Verizon Wireless announced that it is working with FusionOne to offer consumers and businesses a syncing tool to merge content such as contacts and address books across mobile phones, landline phones and Verizon's FiOS services. The service is using Verizon's Backup Assistant as the backbone and tying it together with FusionOne's multi-service sync technology. Since contacts and PIM data will be synced across services and devices, it will always be available. The service will go live later this year.
