Samsung and Sandbridge Team Up for LTE

Samsung said that it will use Sandbridge's SB3500 flexible baseband processor, which is a multi-core, multi-threaded, dynamically reprogrammable processor. The two companies will combine their efforts to develop a LTE platform for mobile phones based on the baseband processor. The result of their efforts will be a compliant LTE platform conforming to the 3GPP Release 8 standards.
