Mar 3, 2009, 8:59 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Today Leap Wireless' Cricket announced the availability of the A600 USB wireless modem. The A600 has embedded software drivers, negating the need for an install CD, and it has a slot for microSD cards. It works with Windows 2000, XP and Vista 32 & 64 bit, and Macintosh OS 10.3.9 or higher. It costs $70 after rebates. Cricket's EVDO-based mobile broadband service costs $35 per month for existing customers and $40 per month as a stand-alone service. No contract is required.
