Broadcasters Hit FCC With Lawsuit Over White Spaces

The National Association of Broadcasters and the Association for Maximum Service Television (MSTV) have sued the Federal Communications Commission over its plan to permit use of unlicensed devices to send/receive broadcasts in white space spectrum. The NAB and MSTV contend that using the white spaces for such purposes will interfere with neighboring spectrum and disrupt television broadcasts. The groups are seeking to reverse the FCC's decision and prevent the use of white space spectrum. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

money money money, you can easily broadcast your own entertainment, either by radio or tv and get paid by advertisers while the big wigs lose out on profits, of course they're going to sue.

So, after all is said and done, they want to look it over now? Now they see there might be a problem? They couldnt have figured there was going to be a problem when the talks of the white space came into effect?
