Motorola Shutters Its Movie Download Site
Mar 26, 2009, 7:25 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Motorola has confirmed that it ceased operations and has closed a movie download web site that it launched with Paramount Studios six months ago. The site allowed users to download mobile-friendly versions of movies that were playable on Motorola handsets such as the Z8 and Z10. The two men responsible for launching the store, senior director Andrew Till and regional manager Steven Trew, left Motorola in January. One reason cited for the site's failure was poor marketing and a lack of visibility by Motorola customers.
