Cricket's MyPerks is a Screen Saver that Also Saves Dollars
Mar 31, 2009, 10:55 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Today Cricket announced a new content service called MyPerks. MyPerks, which is a downloadable application, delivers content and advertisements to a mobile phone's home screen while the phone is idle. Cricket says the content will include things such as weather, gas prices, trivia and celebrity gossip. The program is ad-funded, and users will also see advertisements along with the content. The ads will let users access coupons or other money-saving deals. MyPerks is opt-in only, and phone features such as calling and messaging will not be interrupted by MyPerks.
